Campus Goes Biodiverse
High time to introduce this initiative, founded already two years back by NUB (see below)! The central idea is increasing biodiversity by reduced mowing and other measures, and the results are already clearly visible. But there are manifold activities – see https://blogtest.zmml.uni-bremen.de/campusgoesbiodiverse/konzept/
Good news for sustainability, good news for our University!

Nature conservation at the University of Bremen
Founded in 2017, NUB (Naturschutzgruppe an der Universität Bremen) is a student’s initiative dedicated to practical nature conservation. With friendly support of various lecturers from the University’s ecology department, they are working on or have already realized several projects on the campus. Those include monitoring projects as well as garbage collections, construction of wild bee’s houses and free dispersal of portable ashtrays in a kiosk on the campus.
